in partnership with The Greater Canonsburg-Houston Ministerial Association.
Committed to serving the community, proceeds will support local student-youth outreach programs and grass-roots help for our neighbors.

Father George Livanos
In 2019, Rev. Fr. George Livanos of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Canonsburg, PA had a vision. A vision to create a local coffee shop that not only would refresh the body, but also provide the opportunity to refresh the soul. An opportunity to connect with friends and family, to provide encouragement and support…to be a part of something greater than ourselves.
Sadly, after a 14 month battle with Mesothelioma, Fr. George passed on
July 1, 2021. His passion for life, and love for others was contagious. The unmeasured joy exemplified in his life will live in our hearts forever.
His vision to connect others was never forgotten. In 2022, a small group of community civic and business leaders embarked on bringing Fr. George’s vision to fruition and Fresh Start Cafe was reborn. Choosing this name himself in the initial planning stages, Fr. George felt that it not only referred to a fresh start to the day, but perhaps life also.
Fresh Start Cafe will continue the works, and legacy, of Fr. George Livanos by investing our time, talents and treasures in the lives of others, and forever welcoming all to our table.
